At SURE Mechanical, we are committed to the tenets of our organizational mission. The SURE Mechanical office and fabrication shop are located in a federally designated Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), on Beekman Street, in Cincinnati.
Our facility is a 12,000 SF brick building with a significant local history, as it was originally ODOT’s maintenance yard during the construction of Interstate 74. The office area is 1,300 SF, while the pipe fabrication shop is over 10,000 SF. The size of the shop enables SURE Mechanical to optimize prefabrication on our projects, reducing on-site material storage and labor, ultimately leading to a safer, more efficient site and a more reliable project schedule. Further, material will be stored in a covered and conditioned space from the time it is received by SURE Mechanical, during fabrication and until it is delivered to the jobsite for installation, enhancing product quality.
Notable among SURE Mechanical’s CORE Values is increased minority inclusion in the mechanical HVAC trade. To achieve this goal, SURE Mechanical is implementing a deliberate policy of targeted recruitment and training of qualifying applicants from underserved Cincinnati area communities. To this end, we have partnered with ABC (Associated Builders & Contractors) to customize their existing 4-year HVAC apprenticeship program to meet SURE Mechanical’s aggressive plan for inclusion. In working toward the fulfillment of that vision, we work with community organizations and churches to recruit hard-working, enthusiastic apprentices to join our team. Our apprentices are supported and mentored by our Core journeymen Group – a diverse group of highly skilled and experienced journeymen with a combined experience of approximately 100 years in a variety of mechanical construction arenas.

Our President, Chukwuma Ekwueme is a LEED Accredited Professional, and looks forward to assisting our clients in achieving their project’s sustainability standards or goals. Harry is well versed in the intricacies of the HVAC industry with over 35 years experience, in HVAC services from Service Tech to VP of Operations. His expertise are in equipment and systems like chillers, coils, roof top units, air handlers, pumps, etc. Harry is tasked with leading, developing, and managing Sure Mechanical’s growing service division. He is an alumnus of both Cincinnati State and The University of Cincinnati.
Assisting Mr. Ekwueme in the exciting task of creating a first class mechanical fabrication and installation company is our Operations Manager, Keith Germana. Mr. Germana is a talented mechanical pipe fitter with more than 20 years of fabrication, installation and management experience. Keith’s professionalism and expertise make him ideal for the role of directing the operations and craft force at SURE Mechanical.
Chukwuma “Chuma” Ekwueme fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur when he founded SURE Mechanical. A certified minority-owned (MBE) mechanical firm located in Cincinnati, Ohio. SURE Mechanical provides HVAC/Mechanical design, fabrication and installation services for educational, government and private organizations. Chuma earned a Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering from his native country of Nigeria and a Masters of Engineering from University of Cincinnati. He began his career with a mechanical service company, where he was part of a team that provided maintenance and trouble-shooting for chillers and condensing units. He continued his career in the construction industry at Megen Construction of Cincinnati, Ohio. During this time, Chuma managed a variety of construction projects in the Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Areas. Chuma also helped to champion the construction of Ohio’s first LEED Platinum project, the Fernald Preserve Visitors Center in 2008.
Armed with an engineering education, complementary work experience and strong ambition, Chuma identified a need in Southern Ohio for an innovative, quality-minded, minority mechanical contractor. Chuma put the wheels in motion to eventually launch a mechanical contracting firm. Following months of planning, SURE Mechanical was eventually launched in October 2010. He earned his LEED AP accreditation and became actively involved in several industry-related organizations such as American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He is also a Lean construction enthusiast.
Today, SURE Mechanical is proud to be a certified minority-owned mechanical contracting firm in Southern Ohio that offers a full range of mechanical design, fabrication, installation, design-build and engineering services. Additionally, SURE Mechanical provides a much needed opportunity for minorities to become engaged in one of the most technical aspects of the construction industry.
Bill Wolf has over 28 years in the industry, and possesses a wealth of knowledge in the installation and service of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and process piping.
